- Ask the kids what kind of music they listen to and what they like about it.
Does it make you want to dance and sing?
Can it make you sleepy?
Can it make you feel happy, sad or goofy ?,etc..
Are there songs that you like that your Mom, Dad, Grandma or Grandpa like ,too?
- Has anyone ever played an instrument or pretended to?
Can you name some different instruments?
Do you think that anyone can play an instrument, sing, and be in a band?
It's just like learning to read and write or ride a bike, you have to practice to learn to
do it well.
- Can music tell a story?
Think of a song you like and tell me what it is about.
Do you think the same song could mean something different to someone else?
Is that O.K?
Pick a sentence in The Tenny Shoe-Bop Bunny Band Rockin' my ABC's worksheet and describe
what you imagine.
Music, like a book can spark peoples imaginations, allowing each person to experience it
there own way.
- Do you know that you can have the same music, change the words, and come up with a
different song.
(Try this) Have half of the class sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Now, sing it again and let's have the other half of the class sing the A-B-C song.
Did you notice that it's the same music?
- You've probably heard animals singing in cartoons-do you think they can sing in real
life?
Name some animals and tell us what sounds they make. birds, frogs, etc..
Sometimes when you hear a lot of different animals together it can sound like music.
- Did you know that sometimes music can be used to remember things?
Think of one of your favorite toys, cereals, movies, etc., and see if you can remember a
song about it.
Would anyone like to sing one?
Sometimes when you hear a song it will remind you of a certain time.
Maybe you heard it on a Family trip, or at a friend's house. (even grownups have those
experiences)
- Do you know what a mascot is?
From looking at the Tenny Shoe-Bop Bunny Band picture do you think the band has a

- One of the songs they played was called Traveling Land. The lyrics tell how you can
learn and do different things when you travel places.

countries? Star Spangled Banner, Mickey Mouse, Old Macdonald, Wish you a Merry

- Hare Clue' is an optional guessing game where a staff member fills the character and
Tenny Shoe-bop Bunny costume, and the students draw conclusions on the character's
identity after the program. Unknown to the students, the band integrates a prearranged set
